Understanding the KW Culture
Does "culture" really make a difference at Keller Williams? You better believe it does! Organizing the goals of a business around solid, positive, core values and then proceeding to cultivate them on a daily basis inspires and motivates the members of the organization. However you define fulfillment, it is created by our daily surroundings - the culture we experience as we participate in the workplace environment of our choice.
Much has been said about the KW culture. The truth is, those of us that have the same values and focus on culture in business are perfect business partners. We are so thankful to have found a business that thinks like we do - where our beliefs are fostered in a positive and powerful way!
A lot of companies say they function as a family. At Keller Williams Realty, we truly do and this approach guides us every day in how we conduct our business.
We support one another in achieving goals and celebrate the accomplishment of milestones. We treat each other with respect and integrity. We challenge ourselves and our colleagues in a productive, meaningful way. We encourage growth and self-discovery, and have fun in the process. And we lend a hand whenever it is needed.

How KW Cares is helping our communities
In February 2010, KW Cares donated $229,000 to the Salvation Army specifically for relief for the Haitian people in the wake of the disastrous earthquake that devastated their country.
In 2009, KW Cares granted over $1,000,000 to Keller Williams Associates and their immediate families in 27 of 30 Regions. We helped children, seniors, and those in between. Victims of floods, wildfires, house fires, and earthquake have received food, shelter, and clothing, and grants to help restore their homes and their lives. Associates faced with life altering accidents and serious medical illnesses have received financial assistance to help with co-pays and deductibles, medicines, therapies, and rehabilitation services not covered by medical insurance. We have helped those recovering from emotional illnesses. More that one KW associate has received assistance to obtain surgical intervention in order to not lose the gift of sight. KW Cares assistance augmented assistance already provided from within the associate’s market center. Working together, market centers, regions and KW Cares are providing much needed emotional and financial support to those in dire need.
Many of the 79,000 agents nationwide donate to KW Cares every month.
In addition to supporting KW associates and their families KW Cares annually donates a 10% tithe to selected charities.
What is Keller Williams RED Day?
RED (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day is a Keller Williams service initiative dedicated to improving our local communities. Many Keller Williams Realty associates in the US and Canada will donate their time on May 12, 2011 to renew and energize aspects of their local communities.
Our vision for this day is that all Keller Williams associates will actively engage in a coordinated effort to improve their local community. Activities may include rehabbing a house, cleaning up a local trail, providing food for the homeless, or any other service related activity needed in your community. This will be one of the single biggest events ever undertaken in the real estate industry.
Our local Red Day on May 13th 2010 was spent taking care of several deferred maintenance items for Mountain View Core Knowledge School right here in Canon City. We striped the parking lot, painted the picnic benches, relandscaped the front of the school, and several other items. It’s amazing what you can accomplish in one day when 30 people with a mission show up to work hard.
